Denham Town in rousing win over Ardenne
Shane Pryce fashioned a double strike that guided Denham Town to a rousing 4-1 drubbing of Ardenne in their Group C game of the 2014 ISSA/LIME Manning Cup at Railway Oval yesterday.
Orlando Brown got Denham Town off to a useful start in the 13th minute before the nippy forward, Pryce, stepped in to poach his two goals in minutes 42 and 77.
Second-half substitute Kenroy Barchan then completed the scoring with a headed goal in the 90th minute.
Eight minutes into the second session, Ardenne looked refreshed after Andre Swaby stepped in to reduce the deficit, but that was as far as their scoring went.
Denham Town are now sole leaders of Group C with six points following their 2-1 win over St Mary’s College on Saturday.
Innswood High also moved to six points clipping St Mary’s College 2-1 yesterday, while Tivoli Gardens High registered their first win by edging Edith Dalton James 3-2 to be on three points.
