‘RITE’ OF ENTRY
University of the West Indies Vice-Chancellor Professor E Nigel Harris (second left) shares a moment with academic year 2014/15 top matriculant Shaquielle Dias (left) on the occasion of the Mona Campus Matriculation and Welcome Ceremony last week. Sharing in the light exchange are Campus Registrar Dr Camille Bell-Hutchinson and Deputy Principal Professor Ishenkumba Kahwa. Dias signed the symbolic register on behalf of the students,
who are also invited to sign the Matriculation Book and to take the Academic Vow at thebstart of each academic year. Bell-Hutchinson encourage the campus’ new students to ‘reach high, think big, work hard, and play well’ as they start their tertiary level academic life.
