Pepperpot – Under-used attorney
The much under-used lawyer has been trying to get attention by any means necessary. But no one seems to be taking his utterances seriously. People who know say it’s a sign of desperation that he has teamed up with the deposed king-maker to throw mud at people they don’t like.
Browning still rules
The girls are complaining that despite an improvement in the number of dark-skinned women being used in commercials, the brownings still rule. Is there a view among ad producers that brownings are easier on the eyes?
When the funds run out
The extravagant renovation has come to an abrupt stop because the funds have run out. The ‘hot’ couple is embarrassed and is noticeably absent from the cocktail circuit. One bank has said no more overdrafts can be made available.
Missing Roger Clarke
Sorry to see Roger Clarke go. He demonstrated the absolute civility that should be a hallmark of relations between opposing politicians. I used to enjoy his jousting with the late Wilmot Perkins and noticed how unperturbed Roger was, no matter what was thrown at him. May his soul rest in peace.
Bailey-Cole finally getting there
A string of recent victories, starting with the Commonwealth 100-metre gold medal, demonstrate that Kemar Bailey-Cole is finally coming into his own and starting to believe. From the outset the track watchers said he would be the successor to the mighty Usain Bolt.
