Wes Brown second entering final day at Aberdeen
Rising local golf pro Wesley Brown shot a 4 under par 68 yesterday for second place, three strokes behind American leader Paul Brown at the Aberdeen Golf Tournament in South Carolina, USA.
Brown, who shared the overnight lead with the American after both carded 68 on Tuesday, played well, recording nine birdies and three bogeys, but got undone by a double bogey on the back nine.
The Sandals Golf Club employee currently stands at 8 under par 136, and is chasing the American on 133 entering today’s final day.
Brown’s opening round 68 saw him carding five birdies and just one bogey. He is seeking his second consecutive victory, having won another Aberdeen event last week. A win here would give the Jamaican ace his third win on the National Golf Association Tour.
Brown said he was looking forward to having a solid final round.
