‘An extraordinary summer’
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — Son of the Manchester soil Ivor Palmer was the lucky winner in the Digicel Summer Up Up Up promotion and he got to enjoy an all-expense paid trip for two to St Kitts to watch the final game in the 2014 Limacol Caribbean Premier League.
Now back from his trip, the route sales operator, who took his wife Sherredon with him, said his summer has been truly extraordinary.
“Digicel, you didn’t just give a trip, I got an unforgettable experience. We were VIPs from checking into the airport to leave for St Kitts until we got back home. It’s like we were movie stars… Sherredon and I enjoyed some really good cricket from the party stands. I even got to share my thoughts on the game with Chris Gayle; it doesn’t get any better than that!” he said, according to a release from the telecoms giant.
In addition to meeting the heavy-hitting batsman, Palmer said he also caught up with cricketing legends such as Courtney Walsh and Curtly Ambrose at the Marriott Royal Hotel where he stayed.
The couple enjoyed visits to historic landmarks such as Brimstone Hill Fortress, the Black Sand Beach, Black Rocks and Independence Square.
“We really had a great time,” he reiterated.
