LIME Foundation launches Blood Drive 2014
KINGSTON, Jamaica– In an effort to bolster and encourage a culture of voluntary blood donation, the LIME Foundation, in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Service, today launched Blood Drive 2014 at the Blood Bank.
Slated for Friday, August 29, Blood Drive 2014 is being staged to increase public awareness about blood shortage, the need for increased donations and the purpose and health benefits derived from donating blood.
So far, some 53 companies from Half-Way-Tree to Cross Roads, the businesses being targeted for blood donation on the day of the drive, have been sensitized about Blood Drive 2014.
LIME Foundation is hoping to collect 100 units at its Half-Way-Tree Road offices next Friday, even incorporating an incentive and reward programme for every donor on the day.
