Alair serves up Sweet Girl
UP-AND-COMING singjay Alair is aiming for the international chart success with his newest single titled Sweet Girl.
The track, according to the singjay, track speaks to his glowing admiration for a female whose attention he’s vying for.
Released in May and produced by Sway, his video is currently making the rounds on YouTube.
Alair (given name Ardell Anderson), is currently a waiter at Golden Bowl Restaurant in Kingston. He, however, feels it is only a matter of time that he’ll be serving up global musical delights due to his unique flavour.
The 33-year-old shared the experience that made him embark upon a musical journey.
“Music was always around me,” said Alair, who hails from the Duhaney Park area of St Andrew.
He said his father was the owner of a sound system called Swiggers Choice Disco.
“Wherever the sound goes, I would go,” he said.
He recounts an incident while attending Waterford Comprehensive High School in St Catherine, which he said helped convince him he was a natural.
“It was a Heroes Day show at school. I was challenged to do a song with all the National Heroes in it. I did it off the bat and the song got an exceptional response from the patrons,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
Working hard to fine-tune his craft, the Duhaney Park native subsequently formed a group called the Girls Dem Best.
“We entered Fully Loaded talent search and won the competition,” he said.
As a solo act, he has so far released Close To Me featuring Swagg Dem.
