Kartel, Gaza Slim conspiracy trial set for October
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The conspiracy trial of convicted entertainer Vybz Kartel and two co-accused is set to commence on October 27 this year.
Kartel (Adidja Palmer) who received a life sentence on Thursday, April 3, for the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams; female artiste Gaza Slim, otherwise called ‘Gaza Slim’; and Andre Henry, otherwise called ‘Pim Pim’ are facing charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The three were charged in 2012 after an investigation into an alleged scheme to deceive the police in their probe of Williams’ murder.
It is alleged that Saddler, in order to give the impression that Williams was not dead, reported to the Constant Spring police that ribbed her after the date he was believed murdered. A text was allegedly sent to Saddler’s cellphone instructing her to make the report to the police.
The case was postponed in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court from Monday August 11 to today, August 14 because of the unavailability of witnesses
Today a mention date was set for August 29 to further accommodate witnesses.
