5,000 participants for 5K Night Run
WITH a few days until the staging of the Guardian Group/UHWI inaugural “Keep it Alive” 5K Night Run, the organisers are encouraged by the level of support they have been receiving.
“We are expecting some 5,000 participants,” said president of Guardian Life Limited, Eric Hosin.
The event, set for Saturday, June 21, is aimed at raising some $12 million for the UHWI, Victoria Jubilee Hospital and charities of participating service clubs: Kiwanis, Rotary, Lions, and Optimist.
Hosin emphasised that the run is for the benefit of all Jamaicans.
“Health care affects all of us and we must recognise the importance of giving back to the sector that cares for our nation, because we never know when illness or an accident can happen to us.”
