10 Browns Town residents arrested for lottery scamming
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A married couple and their two children were among 10 people arrested Friday morning in Browns Town, St Ann for their suspected involvement in lottery scamming.
OBSERVER ONLINE has learnt that the 10, all residents of the Trysee community, were arrested during an early morning raid carried out by the Lottery Scam Task Force and the Area Two Operational Support Team.
The intelligence-driven raid resulted in the search of four premises and the seizure of a Honda Civic motorcar, computers allegedly containing lottery scam material, other electronic devices, as well as the arrests.
OBSERVER ONLINE sources say that the individuals will remain in custody while the police carry out further investigations to formally lay charges.
