Premier League play-offs head to thrilling finale
JAMALCO FC clipped Axum FC 1-0 yesterday at Wembley in Clarendon to set up a thrilling finale in the National Premier League play-off.
The win, made possible by Roshane Sharpe’s stoppage-time goal, puts Jamalco level on eight points with Reno FC and Barbican FC, who both played to a goal-less draw at the Frome Complex in Westmoreland, heading into the final set of games.
Axum, out of contention, have two points.
Barbican will travel to Axum, while Jamalco host Reno.
Due to Reno and Barbican having a superior goal difference, Jamalco need a win against the former to ensure qualification.
Reno and Barbican need only a point from their games to seal their places in top flight football next season.
