The Jamaica Observer’s World Cup coverage
The Jamaica Observer officially begins its coverage of World Cup 2014 which will be played in the Mecca of world football, Brazil with the publication today of a 24-page supplement. Our coverage will cover the month long tournament with critical analysis of the games and of course that special feeling and colour for which Observer readers have come to know and expect over the last 21 years.
Photographs will, of course, play a major role in our coverage. Readers of this newspaper are assured that only the crispest and most exciting photographs will adorn our pages during our World Cup coverage. In addition to the colour from the use of photographs and graphics, added texture is given to our treatment of the World Cup 2014 with the Observer’s Man in Brazil. Young university student Chad Mordecai who will be visiting Brazil to watch six matches provides the personal touch for our readers to better understand what’s happening in Brazil especially the unique mix of cultures which will permeate the South American nation by the hordes of travelling supporters.
The Observer’s coverage of World Cup 2014 relies heavily on the use of graphics. We strongly believe that our product will be enhanced by using well-constructed and colourful graphics. These graphics will make it simpler for all our readers to understand and to better follow the flow of the Greatest Show On Earth.
Our coverage of the World Cup would not be possible without the strong partnerships we have forged with our sponsors, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Jamaica Broilers through their Reggae Jammins products and Industrial Gases Limited. We sincerely thank these companies for their kind sponsorship.
So, please enjoy the World Cup pages of the Jamaica Observer starting with today’s supplement as we bring home for your information and enjoyment, the fever, colour and exciting of World Cup 2014 – Brazil.
