EIGHT teams are still unbeaten after three rounds of the 2014 Best Dressed Chicken/Netball Jamaica Intermediate League competition, which is being played at the Leila Robinson Courts.

The unbeaten teams are Ken’s Wild Flower, Omega ‘A’, Skibo ‘A’, Maxfield Park ‘A’, Hampshire ‘A’, Rivoli United ‘B’ and Speg.

Teams are currently hunting the top two places from their respective zones for a birth in the quarter-finals knockout format. Twenty-seven teams are currently participating in the competition.

Four teams are tied at the top of Zone One with six points each — Boulevard Baptist ‘A’ who have played three games, winning two and losing one; Ken’s Wild Flower played two matches and won both; Liguanea United ‘A’ winning two and losing one, and Police ‘B’ with two wins and a defeat.

Omega ‘A’ are on top of Zone Two with nine points coming from three wins from as many games, followed by Skibo ‘A’ with seven points, two wins and a draw, while Red Challenge are third with four points, one win, one draw and a loss.

Maxfield Park ‘A’ lead Zone Three with nine points from three straight wins, followed by Hampshire ‘A’ with six from two wins, Molynes United ‘B’ also with six, but from two wins and a defeat.

Rivoli United ‘B’ lead Zone Four with seven points coming from two wins and a draw, followed by Speg on six points coming from two wins, while Jobs Lane United ‘B’ are third with four points from one win, one draw and a defeat.

Meanwhile, results of matches played last Saturday at the Leila Robinson Courts: Omega ‘A’ clipped Link United 27-26; Police ‘B’ trounced Omega ‘B’ 36-14; Waulgrovians ‘B’ crushed New Kingston Raiders 51-17.

Liguanea ‘A’ whipped Queen’s Park 42-8; Skibo ‘A’ defeated Blades United ‘B’ 36-22; Red Challenge outscored Global United ‘A’ 34-24; Hampshire ‘A’ got past Maverly 23-20; Molynes ‘B’ hammered Sports and Games 41-12; Rivoli ‘B’ and Jobs Lane ‘B’ played to a 33-33 draw.

Action in the Intermediate League continues tomorrow with Leiba Gardens vs Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) at 3:00 pm; Molynes ‘B’ vs Maverly; Maxfield Park ‘A’ vs Hampshire ‘A’; Boulevard Baptist ‘A’ vs Ocho Rios Magics at 4:00 pm.

At 5:20 pm – Rivoli ‘B’ vs Waugrovians ‘B’; Ken’s Wild Flower vs Police ‘B’; Omega ‘B’ vs Liguanea United ‘A’; Westchester vs Red Challenge.
