Pain is not normal
HUMAN nature has been flawed and influenced into thinking and believing that pain is normal. We have also been fooled into accepting the “fact” that pills, potions and lotions have the inherent ability to “cure” our ailments and symptoms.
In fact, they do not. I am here to remind you that you are the physician. The power that made the body heals the body. It happens absolutely no other way.
Pain is actually an indicator that there is an underlying problem with the biomechanics, and interference within the nervous system. If you have a headache, is that because your body did not produce potentially toxic substances such as pain pills? Then why take pain pills?
It is more logical that there is a core problem that has the indicator of head pain as a symptom. Correct the problem and the symptom disperses. Consuming foreign substances makes you unaware of pain, only temporarily. This is why drugs must be taken in “doses”. When their effects, essentially masking of the symptoms, wear off, more must be consumed.
Taking medication is akin to pumping air into a tyre, repeatedly, rather than getting the tyre plugged. Drugs do not cure, and the negative long-term side effects of the toxins can lead to liver and kidney damage or even irreparable injury to the body and joints.
Why do we try to treat symptoms instead of causes? If you change your thinking to address the cause, you can not only heal current ailments within your own body, but also prevent injuries before they happen, eliminating the need to worry about what remedies to use after the fact.
You ensure preventative maintenance for your vehicle. Is your body not worth much more?
So what if you are already injured? Getting your spine and posture assessed and corrected by a chiropractor may be the best and safest way for you to heal. This is because the chiropractor’s adjustment integrates the body’s natural neurological function and balance.
Chiropractic is a relatively unknown alternative in Jamaica. In most countries it is an integral part of the health-care system. The increased awareness about chiropractic is a welcome relief for the many Jamaicans who have desired to manage their spinal ailments with a safe effective system of health, utilising the healing abilities of the human body.
By correcting dysfunctional spinal joints or subluxations, the chiropractor removes interference to the sensitive nerve roots exiting the spine causing many ailments such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, and sciatica, just to name a few. It is also the only way to correct and maintain postural symmetry and balance leading to a better quality of life.
Symptoms arise after the problem has been present for some time — sometimes for weeks, months or years. For this reason, the symptoms which come last are commonly the first thing to go when you begin a regimen of correction in your spinal/nervous system.
When subluxations interfere with natural function, a plethora of symptoms can and do occur. Don’t be a victim of endlessly chasing symptoms. Get yourself to a skilled compassionate doctor of chiropractic as soon as possible and feel the difference!
