EBONY Strikers ‘A’ created a major upset when they defeated Waulgrovians ‘A’ 40-37 as the 2014 Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL)/Netball Jamaica Major League competition continued at the Leila Robinson Courts on Tuesday.

It was Ebony Strikers ‘A’ second win from six starts, while Waulgrovians ‘A’ were suffering their first defeat in seven outings.

Meanwhile, UWI Pelicans kept up their unbeaten run with a runaway 42-20 win over Mico ‘B’ as they chalked up their fourth win from as many starts.

Police ‘A’ maintained their unbeaten run in Zone One with a 39-27 victory over Alexander Strikers.

UTech Knights had the better of Blades United ‘A’ to win 37-32.

Action continues today in the Major League with Ebony Strikers ‘A’ vs GC Foster Strikers ‘A’; UTech Knights vs Waulgrovians ‘A’; Blades United ‘A’ vs Jetsetters ‘A’ (6:00 pm), Mico ‘B’ vs Cablepro, beginning at 5:50pm.

Molynes United ‘A’ vs Mico ‘A’; Police ‘A’ vs GC Foster Strikers ‘A’; Alpha ‘A’ vs Jobs Lane United ‘A’, and Jamalco vs Rivoli United ‘A’, starting this evening at 7:10pm.

The Supreme Ventures Limited Minor League will also continue today, starting at 1:00 pm, as well as action in the Best Dressed Chicken Intermediate league.
