Kenton shoots for match analyses as part of coaching curriculum
In response to a brief from the JMMB/JFF/UTech Coaching School Curriculum Committee, FIFA Instructor Rodrigo Kenton has insisted that match analyses be included in the timetable for upcoming Advanced Level Two coaching courses.
Two courses will be held April 22 to May 1 in Kingston and May 5-14 in Montego Bay.
Emphasising the importance of this module, the Instructor has indicated that participants will attend a number of matches and will have to do match analyse and match reports. Other interesting topics include Defensive Block Formation; Tactical Formations and Tactical Changes; Offensive Combination Plays and Set Plays and Different Phases.
Head coaches and ssistant coaches at the high school and Premier League levels will have to be Advanced Level Two certified as of September 1, 2014. Further, all club members in the technical area giving technical/tactical instructions or any instruction to the player/s pertaining to the flow of the game before, during, at the break and after the games within the Premier League, will also have to be Advanced Level Two certified.
In addition, as a result of the introduction of the coaching licensing system, all these coaches will have to possess a ‘C’ licence from the JFF.
