Exciting start to Berger semi-pro league
SPECTATORS were treated to an exciting display of top-class matches as the inaugural staging of the Berger Paints Semi-Professional Netball League got underway at the Leila Robinson Courts on Friday.
It was excitement from the opening game, which saw many fans turning out to watch the biggest netball league in Jamaica.
Despite the late start, spectators remained in high spirits and cheered their teams along.
In a top match-up, St James Sharpes easily brushed aside Kingston Humming Birds 46-33.
In other matches, Manchester Spurs held onto an exciting 39-37 win over St Catherine Racers, and Clarendon Gaters defeated St Ann Ochids 38-29 .
The competition continues on Sunday, March 30.
