Reggae Youths look to regain lead in St James Senior League
FLANKERS, St James — Reggae Youths will hope to retake the lead in Zone A of the St James Football Association Sandals/ATL/Honda Senior League today, when they take on an improving Seaview FC in a second round game at Flankers set to start at 3:30 pm.
Reggae Youths were overtaken by Fogo United last weekend after they were held 1-1 by Montego Bay United Under-21 in a game that saw both teams play over 50 minutes with 10 players after each had a player expelled in the first half.
Javian Bailey had scored all six goals for Reggae Youths in their first-round win over Seaview and will hope to get another three points today.
Seaview have shown tremendous improvements in the second round however, winning their last two games by a 6-0 aggregate and are unbeaten in three games to be in fourth place, tied with Melbourne FC on eight points, four behind Reggae Youths.
At WespoW Park, Melbourne FC will meet Catherine Hall in a game that sees two teams that combine for nine games without a win.
Melbourne FC are in a tail spin, losing their last three and will hope to turn their luck around today against Catherine Hall, who are also winless in their last five games and are in last place on seven points.
At UDC, Seba FC will look for back-to-back wins for the first time when they take on Revelation FC, who have lost back-to-back games, both by 4-0 margins.
Seba FC, who are in second place on nine points, six behind leaders Violet Kickers, had won their first round game 2-1 and will start favourites to win today.
