R Kelly could be facing jail time
Rapper R Kelly could be facing jail time after allegedly falling behind on child support payments.
The Ignition hitmaker is accused in court papers filed Thursday by his ex-wife Andrea Kelly of failing to pay $20,833 a month in child support he owes.
The singer’s lawyer says the R&B star, who has gone underground, could face jail time, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
Last year he fell more than $100,000 behind in payments but managed to pay off the debt.
Kelly previously has owed millions in unpaid taxes and even had to auction off one of his homes.
Kelly, whose latest album, Black Panties — which debuted at No 4 on the Billboard 200 in December — is his biggest success since 2009.
One of Kelly’s lawyers has told his team that if the singer doesn’t appear at a March 27 hearing in his child-custody battle in Chicago, a judge could give him 30 days to six months behind bars because Kelly didn’t show up at a November hearing.
“The judge was clear in November that he wasn’t happy R Kelly didn’t show up,” said a source. “His lawyer is worried the judge could lock Kelly up if he doesn’t show this time, but he can’t reach his client.”
Despite his troubles, Kelly is “in a bunker” and “unreachable”.
“There’s a line of people Kelly owes money to who worked really hard on his last album,” another source said. “Who knows what Kelly and Devyne are doing? But burying your head in the sand isn’t the answer.”

Rihanna sizzles in US Vogue
Rihanna likes to shock, and for her third cover of US Vogue she hasn’t broken the habit.
The Barbados beauty told the March issue of the fashion bible, “If I’m wearing a top, I don’t wear a bra. If I’m wearing a bra, I just wear a bra.”
The 25-year-old also revealed to the massive 648-page monthly — in which she modelled suits, sequined slacks and slinky dresses — that she dressed like a boy as a child.
The cover girl explained she didn’t take to girlish clothes because she really wasn’t around her gender growing up.
“When I was 13 or 14, I didn’t want to wear what my mother wanted me to wear,” she shared.
“I was very much a boy in my style, my demeanour. All my friends were guys. I loved things that boys did. It was my way of rebelling. I wanted to dress like my brother. After a while, it was just easier for Mom to dress us both the same.”
Looks like she’s making up for lost time.
Now the star is always playing the part of the goddess. And she’s suffering for style in four-inch heels that are de rigueur for the bombshell these days.
“It’s not about pain,” she allowed. “It’s about the commitment. I say to myself, ‘I want to look like this,’ and worry about the pain later.”
The MTV staple added: “I’ve had nights I had to tiptoe home and the balls of my feet wouldn’t even allow me to stand.”
On the cover, the Stay singer made a fierce impression as she dressed rock ‘n’ roll chic in a black cropped sheer top and sequined light blue denim jeans.
The We Found Love star proudly showed off her enviable figure as she put one hand up to her pixie haircut and the other in her belt loop. The only jewellery she displayed was ear cuffs.

Lady Gaga is ready for takeoff!
She is known to be at the cutting edge of fashion in the pop world.
But Lady Gaga has taken her reputation quite literally on the cover of this month’s Harper’s Bazaar, appearing almost topless in a cut-out top that left little to the imagination.
The shoot also has a space theme, perhaps in preparation for the singer’s much-anticipated performance on Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic first commercial space flight next year.
The Born this Way hitmaker is set to sing outside of the Earth’s atmosphere next year following the launch of the flights — which will cost $250,000 per seat — and she is looking forward to using the opportunity to spread a “message of love”.
She said: “I honestly can’t wait [to perform in space]. I can’t wait to design the performance.
I’m auctioning off my second seat [on a Virgin Galactic flight] to raise money for the Born This Way Foundation. I want to make a moment that is about much more than me.
“Performing in space is such an honour. I want to challenge myself to come up with something that will not only bring everyone together, but will also have a message of love that blasts into the beyond.”
