Oprah denies Tina Turner had stroke
Oprah Winfrey has denied reports that her close friend Tina Turner had suffered a stroke at her home in Switzerland.
Oprah — who attended Tina’s wedding to German record exec Erwin Bach last year — took to her official Twitter account on Friday to deny a report over the singer’s ill health.
“Tina had a bad flu weeks ago. She’s recovered. And LIVING life! Sent me a single long-stem red rose for my birthday,” she tweeted.
A gossip site, Hollywood Street King falsely reported that Tina, real name Anna Mae Bullock, had suffered the stroke at her home in Zurich, Switzerland, and was “under nurses care”.
Tina retired from performing 2009, having moved to Switzerland for a relatively quiet life in 1995.

Simon Cowell welcomes baby boy
He became a proud father for the first time when he welcomed baby son Eric into the world on Valentine’s Day.
And doting dad Simon Cowell has now shared a touching first photograph of he and Lauren Silverman’s little bundle of joy.
Posting a series of artistic black and white shots on his Twitter page on Sunday evening, the 54-year-old music mogul revealed he was unprepared for how much “love and pride” he would feel towards his “handsome” baby son.
One adorable snap showed him and Lauren gazing adoringly at the new addition to their family, with the American socialite tenderly stroking little Eric’s head as Simon cradled the tot in his arms.
Alongside the photograph, he wrote: “Mum, Dad and Eric. Now two days old.”

It’s a boy!
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have welcomed their second child, a son, last Thursday according to TooFab. The Hollywood couple, who are parents to 15-month-old son Noah, have not released the baby’s name, and no other details are known at this time.
The 27-year-old actress is also a stepmother to Green’s son Kassius, who turns 12 next month, with ex-partner Vanessa Marcil.
Back in November, the Jennifer’s Body starlet opened up about her growing family. “‘I think [Noah is] going to be an amazing big brother with time,” Megan told People magazine.
“I think he has an idea, but I don’t think he understands that a baby will be living with us all of the time — that will be an adjustment.”
The Transformers actress continued: “He loves to be the centre of attention and I also think he is a really sensitive child. I think that he’s going to be a nurturer.”
Fox beat out Anna Kendrick and Elizabeth Olsen for the role of reporter April O’Neil in Paramount’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The CG-infused action flick — due out August 8 — also stars Mirror, Mirror’s Danny Woodburn, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire newcomer Alan Ritchson, and Twilight’s Noel Fisher. Megan is also releasing a fragrance this month.
