Boys’ Town blank Cavalier 2-0
Boys’ Town returned to winner’s row in the Red Stripe Premier League with a well-earned 2-0 win over Cavalier at Collie Smith Drive yesterday.
Peter Keys (22nd minute) and Rafiek Thomas (45th) gave Boys’ Town a first-half two-goal cushion that they never relinquished although helped by some indifferent finishing by Cavalier.
The Boys’ Town victory was one that did not surprise coach Andrew Price. “We have been practising all week and what was encouraging was to see that most of what we did in training were reproduced in our game day,” he said.
His counterpart David Lalor said that his team could have done better, but “having started off slowly and conceded two goals without reply cost us the game”.
