Jamaica’s CPJ partners with St Lucia bottling company
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Caribbean Producers Jamaica (CPJ) has expanded its operations in the region through a partnership with Du Boulay’s Bottling Company, one of the leading manufacturing and distribution companies in St Lucia.
The new entity, CPJ St Lucia, will initially target the growing hospitality sector, before widening its scope to the food manufacturing business in the eastern Caribbean island.
CPJ has a 51 per cent controlling stake in the joint venture.
“We are extremely pleased to partner with Du Boulay’s. The company is a well established bottling and manufacturing firm on the island and the synergies between them and CPJ are strong,” said CPJ executive chairman Mark Hart.
“We did not want to enter the St Lucian market without having the right local partner and based on our analysis, Du Boulay’s is the right fit for us.”
Meanwhile CPJ chief executive officer, Tom Tyler, said that CPJ has already begun to employ its best-practices in St Lucia through its excellent human resources, products, technology and customer service.
