High Flyers gymnasts seeking to go higher
THE Jamaica School of Gymnastics High Flyers team is calling on corporate Jamaica for support in getting their all-girls team to the participate at the Gasparilla Classics in the United States next month.
Sharri-Ann Vaz, a volunteer helping the institution, has called on corporate Jamaica to come to the rescue.
“We have an upcoming competition and the fee is US$1,500 per child, and that has to be found by the parents as sponsorship remains a problem, so we are aiming to get the girls
some support.
“One day I went there and saw them performing and saw that they are very talented. I recently got on board as a new mom and took on a personal relations officer role as most of the things have to be done by the parents,” she said.
