Harmony, Wakefield hunt third straight win
BLACKWIN, Trelawny — Zone leaders Harmony FC and Wakefield All-Stars FC will be going after their third straight win today when the Trelawny Football Association National Rums of Jamaica Major League continues with three games.
Both teams have won their opening two games to lead their respective zones with six points and today, Harmony FC take on second-placed Classic United at Blackwin in a Zone One game, while Wakefield All-stars and Flames will meet at Sea Road field in Duncans.
In another game to be played at Kinloss, the home team will host Invaders in Zone Two.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Clarks Town scored their first win of the season, beating Bunkers Hill So Fresh 2-1, while Salt Marsh United and Coopers Pen played out a 1-1 draw, both games in Zone One.
Dhane Johnson’s 19th-minute goal gave Clarks Town the lead before Chavaughn Davis made it 1-1 in the 24th minute, as the team remained tied at half-time.
Damarley Elliot, however, won the points for Clarks Town in the 47th minute when he scored what turned out to be the winner.
Salt Marsh gave up a 32nd minute lead from Sanjay Walker and shared points with Coopers Pen, who got their equaliser from Andre Palmer in the 82nd minute.
The point moved Salt Marsh to four points, tied with Classic United in second place behind Harmony FC, while Clarks Town are tied on three points with Bunkers Hill.
