Harmony, Wakefield seek to extend lead in TFA/National Rums Major League
BLACKWIN, Trelawny
FORMER champions Harmony FC, and Wakefield All-Stars, will be seeking to extend their winning starts in the Trelawny Football Association’s National Rums of Jamaica Major League to three games each, when the competition continues with three games on Saturday.
Both teams are off to good starts and lead their respective zones going into Saturday’s games, where Harmony FC will be away to second-placed Classic United at Blackwin, while Wakefield travels to Sea Road in Duncans to face Flames in a Zone 2 game, both set to start at 3:00 pm.
In another match on Saturday, Kinloss FC and Invaders will meet in a Zone 2 game at Kinloss.
Meanwhile, two more games will be played on Saturday. Bunker’s Hill So Fresh and Clark’s Town will meet at Wakefield in one game, while Salt Marsh United and Coopers Pen will meet at Davis Pen, both set to start at 3:00 pm.
Harmony FC who were relegated from the Western Confederation Super League at the end of last season will be hoping to keep their record spotless when they face a Classic United team coming off a 1-1 draw at Coopers Pen last week, after winning their first game.
Three players have already scored two goals each for Harmony FC, and they are expected to put the Classic United defence under some pressure.
Wakefield All-Stars opened the season with an upset win over last season’s beaten finalists Spicy Hill, coming from behind to win 3-2, before edging Invaders in their previous game, while Flames were beaten by Prospect Links in their most recent game.
