COMEBACK ARTISTE OF THE YEAR: QQ
AFTER being relatively quiet on the dancehall scene, QQ, with a new look and new musical content reimerged in 2013 to take the genre by storm.
Having got used to the young artiste, who has been in dancehall since he was 10 years old, QQ certainly wowed the masses with his 2013 releases that clearly showed that ‘little QQ’ is all grown up.
In early 2013 QQ released his single Ghetto Gyal, whose lyrics and music video showed that the young artiste was fully prepared to enter the adult dancehall scene.
With that track still topping charts and taking over the airways, QQ released another single One Drop, which was a crowd favourite from the first play. His other releases of 2013 includes Kotch Pon Di Edge, Tutty Gran Wine (which he recorded with local YouTube sensation Rosie) and Tip Pan Yuh Toe.
The success of his songs and evolution as an artiste, has earned QQ the title of teenAGE’s Comeback Artiste of the Year.
