BEST MALE FASHION TREND: CAMOUFLAGE
THE timeless military print stepped out of its traditional role of blending in to make bold statements in menswear last year.
Emerging as one of the favourite menswear prints last spring, camouflage found its way on many catwalks with designers such as Valentino, Dries van Noten and other menswear notables interpreting the print — made into pants, shorts, shirts, jackets, ties, shoes, and even cardigans — as donned by FloRida at the Samsung Galaxy Superbowl party — in various colours and patterns.
Artistes Jay-z and Usher, along with basketball teams the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors also joined the troops, who rocked ‘camo’ last year; hence being named teenAGE’s pick for Fashion Trend of the Year (Male).
