Bounty Hall Blazers ‘A’ and Falmouth United to meet in TNA/ SDC Open League final
FALMOUTH, Trelawny — Bounty Hall Blazers ‘A’ and Falmouth United will contest the final of Trelawny Netball Association/SDC Open League competition on Sunday, following contrasting victories over Albert Town Infinity and Clark’s Town respectively in semi- final action on the weekend at the Jackson Town Primary School grounds.
The final which will be played at the Elliston Wakeland Centre in Falmouth is expected to be keenly contested, as the experience Falmouth United will look to match strides with the youthful Bounty Hall Blazers ‘A’, in what is expected to be a mouth watering final.
In semi- final action on the weekend, Bounty Hall Blazers ‘A’ had to dig deep to hold off a fighting Infinity team, but was able to secure a 24-19 victory. The ever improving Captain Keila Henry had game high 18 goals from 27 attempts, and Judian Oliver 6 from 10, for the winners, while Shaneil Smith 10 and Onekia Williams 9 got the consolation goals for the losers.
In the other match, Falmouth United clobbered Clark’s Town 35-18, to remain as the only unbeaten team in the league. They easily won all quarters, 8-3, 10-7, 9-4, and 8-4. The evergreen Karen Hamilton was at her very best yet again for the winners, netting 20 goals from 27 attempts, backed up by Captain Cassandra Morgan 15 from 23. Cerene Wallace got 13 goals for Clark’s Town, while Shedisha Johnson netted the other 5.
