Everything that has to be said about Tessanne Chin has been said and all the superlatives have been exhausted. All I can add to the wonderful accolades is that you did it for the girls, Tess. Now, may you have a spectacular singing career, make yourself rich and continue to keep our flag flying high.

Celine Dion is the bomb

I love Celine Dion and it was just so much of a treat to see her doing a duet with our own Tessanne Chin on The Voice finale. Though, truth be told, the international megastar had to sing her life out to not be overshadowed by Tessanne.

New definition for cougar

Stalking teenage schoolboys is not our idea of being a cougar. Maybe her husband should find a job for her in the company because she has too much time on her hands and has been spending his hard-earned money buying gifts to entrap schoolboys. Yes, dirty old men do it. But, ladies, we can’t do what the guys do and still be ladies.

Putting the brakes on new- model cars

My girls have heard this one: that some insurance companies are complaining that there are too many new-model cars being imported on the used-car market without adequate stocks of spare parts. The idea is being mooted that they should not offer insurance coverage to such cars. Shouldn’t the Government see to it that those car dealers indulging in this have the brakes slammed on them?

Reverse migration

The boastful ex-general manager is coming back home. Things have not worked out for him in ‘foreign’. Everyone is wondering how his ego is going to handle the return. Many bridges were burnt when he was leaving.
