Reggae Boy Brown to stay at Colorado Rapids
MONTEGO BAY, St James — ReggaeBoy Deshorn Brown will return to the United States Major League Soccer (MLS) team Colorado Rapids, the club announced yesterday.
The 22-year-old former St Elizabeth Technical player was one of eight players that the club exercised their options of bringing back for the 2014 season after his outstanding rookie year.
Brown, who was the sixth pick of the 2013 draft in January, scored 10 goals while starting 24 of the 31 games he appeared in for the club, including one against Seattle Sounders after just 14 seconds into the game, then the second fastest MLS goal ever.
Brown made his debut for the ReggaeBoyz, getting a late call-up by head coach Winfried Schafer during the latter stages of the 2014 CONCACAF World Cup campaign and was also part of the team that lost both games to Trinidad and Tobago in a two-game friendly series last month.
