Two killed in St Mary car crash, driver flees
ST MARY, Jamaica — Two people died as a result of injuries they sustained in a motor vehicle crash in Oracabessa, St Mary Tuesday.
Dead are 55-year-old Ronald Wickett, a Canadian visitor and 75-year-old Daphne Livermore of Stewart Town, St Mary.
The Oracabessa Police said that about 4:15 pm Wickett and a friend were sitting on his parked motorcycle talking with Livermore when the driver of a Toyota Levin motor car travelling towards Ocho Rios, St Ann apparently lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the three.
A passerby assisted the injured to hospital, where Wickett and Livermore died. The third person, who is also a Canadian, has been admitted in serious but stable condition.
The driver of the motorcar fled the scene.
