Uppa Tune best of the foreigners
It another bold front-running effort, Uppa Tune, ridden by his regular partner Richard Mitchell, defied his long starting odds of 6/1 to triumph in the TALAWAH Imported Mile event last Saturday at Caymanas Park.
This was the four-year-old bay colt’s first win since June when he prevailed going 10 furlongs. For his trainer Ian Parsard, the win provided him with his first victory in this prestigious event and cements his position as a conditioner who is developing quickly and one the racing public should watch in the future, as victories like these will become commonplace. Uppa Tune gave Parsard his 14th win of the season, which must place him in serious contention for the most improved trainer of the year award.
Second in the Mile went to Argument Done, with third going to Go Go Yvonne.
