SALUT!
Clinks of champagne- and vino-filled flutes and sprightly convo echoed in the courtyard outside of Fromage last Thursday. The wine and bistro enclave, situated at Hillcrest Avenue, played host to the fourth night of Salut!’s Wine and Champagne celebration and J Wray & Nephew poured Veuve Clicquot Champagne as well as a quintet of wines from its portfolio: Terrazos de los Andes Reserva Chardonnay, Afincado Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc, Baron Phillippe de Rothschild Rouge and Blanc, and Louis Martini Cabernet Sauvignon. Eats were catered in-house by Fromage, who paired wine selections with pesto and alfredo pasta with roasted baby potatoes; proscuitto rolls; smoked marlin canapés with salmon and lumpfish roe, and of course, cheese platters.
