Hyde on the double as Wolmer’s press on
Needing only a point from their final Group J game to make certain of their continuation in the ISSA/LIME Manning Cup football competition, 10-man Wolmer’s thundered into the semi-final with a 4-1 lashing of Holy Trinity at the Constant Spring playing field yesterday.
Potent marksman Jaheel Hyde helped himself to two goals in minutes 13 and 64, while Jordan James (45th+), and Kemo Wallace (50th) completed the scoring.
Nicholas Hamilton, playing with verve and urgency in the early part of the game that was lacking in the Heroes Circle-based school approach, brought the schools level after 32 minutes, but the effort eventually only served as consolation in the end for Holy Trinity.
Wolmer’s managed to blot their copy book by having Jason Greenland sent for an early shower after being red-carded by referee Doyen Tummings in the 90th minute.
