Stewards’ disciplinary action
The Stewards of the Jamaica Racing Commission announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices on Tuesday, October 29.
Jockey Kuri Powell who rode I Believe N Miracle in the first race on Saturday, October 19, was suspended for three race days for intimidation and interference caused to Laptop in the final 200 metres. The suspension will take effect on November 16.
Jockey Cavel Brown who rode Tudor Dynasty in the fifth race on Saturday, October 12, was fined $6,000 for interference caused to Sachin in the vicinity of the 300-metre point.
Jockey Chalrick Budhai who rode Breath of Life in the third race on Monday, October 21, was fined $4,000 for intimidation and interference caused to Above The Radar close to the 1600-metre point in the race.
Jockey Dane Nelson who rode Soon Come in the second race on Saturday, October 12, was fined $4,000 for intimidation and interference caused to Nafeesa in the vicinity of the 400-metre point.
Jockey Orlando Foster who was declared to ride Blue Mountain Man in the second race on Saturday, October 26, 2013, was cautioned for attempting to mislead the Stewards.
