Couples Negril Charity Golf Tourney on today
COUPLES Negril and Couples Swept Away will host the 7th Annual Couples Resorts Negril Charity Golf Tournament at the Negril Hills Golf Club, in Negril, today.
The event will take the format of a two-man scramble with registration set for 8:00 am and a shotgun start an hour later.
All proceeds from the event will be in aid of two local charities — the Clifton Boys Home in Darliston, Westmoreland, and the Green Island Primary School in Green Island, Hanover.
Some of the players, who have already already signed up are Mike Eddy/Mary Eddy, Ian Weir/Kay Weir, Tommy Smith/Sherold Phillibert, and Greg Chong/Khaleel Azan.
Thanks to generous support, to date J$6M has been raised for these and other local charities. The Clifton Boys Home received a major facelift, the Norman Manley Sea Park was outfitted with a state-of-the-art basketball court, complete with bleacher stands, and the students of Mt Airy Basic School all have new desks and chairs.
