Comedytainment for Redbones
COMEDYTAINMENT, a bi-monthly live stand-up comedy event, returns to the Redbones Blues Café in New Kingston on October 24.
The series had been on a break.
The event will feature singer Alaine and comedians Pretty Boy Floyd, Dufton Shepherd, Kathy ‘tan deh deh’ Grant, and Jerry Benzwick.
“A line-up such as this is the perfect recipe for an entertaining night out. The audience will experience an abdominal workout before the night ends,” says Nicole Brown of IDEAs, producers of the event.
Started in December 2012, the Comedytainment series has featured top acts including Dr Michael Abrahams, Owen ‘Blakka’ Ellis, Christopher ‘Johnny’ Daley, Elva, Bongo Herman, and dancehall deejay Professor Nuts.
The event also encourages up-and-coming comedians and audience members alike to participate in the open-mic sessions as a means of unearthing new talent.
