Decisions of the racing stewards

THE stewards announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, Winchester Road, Kingston 10, on Tuesday, October 1, 2013.

Jockey Jemar Jackson who rode Nafeesa in the fourth race on Saturday, September 25, was fined $4,000.00 for intimidation and interference caused to MedicalCat shortly after the start.

Jockey Romario Saunders who rode Medical Cat in the fourth race on Saturday, September 25, was fined $2,000.00 for interference caused to Swiss Accountin the vicinity of the 800 metre point.

Jockey Jevvanne Erwinwho rode Beast in the eighth race on Saturday, September 25, was suspended for four race days for intimidation and interference caused to Thegreatalliance leaving the 800-metre point, which resulted in interference to Winesha.

The suspension will take effect on Saturday, October 12, 2013.
