Racing Commission’s disciplinary actions
The stewards of the Jamaica Racing Commission (JRC) announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held on Tuesday, September 24.
Jockey Clive Lynch who rode KatherinetheGreat in the seventh (7th) race on Saturday, 31st August, 2013, was fined $8,000.00 for interference caused to Bourne’s Identity approaching the 700-metre point.
Jockey Percival Williams, who rode Kipling Weekend in the ninth (9th) race on Wednesday, September 11, was suspended for four race days for intimidation and interference caused to Sunlight Express and Edison approaching the 800-metre point. The suspension will take place on Wednesday, October 2, 2013.
Jockey Richard Mairs, who rode Apointforkerry in the second race on Saturday, 14th September 14, was fined $6,000.00 for intimidation and interference caused to Skippinfortreasure in the vicinity of the 600-metre point.
Jockey Orlando Foster who rode Warr Girl in the ninth race on Saturday, September 14 was fined $8,000.00 for intimidation and interference caused to She’s a Wiz in the final 200 metres.
Jockey O’Brien White, who rode IBelieve In Miracles in the second race on Saturday, September 21, was fined $10,000.00 for interference caused to Cougar Commander in the vicinity of the 300-metre point.S
