Dane nelson at his brilliant best!
Champion jockey Dane Nelson is not on course to retain his title. He is far behind leader Omar Walker, but Nelson still remains a champion and crowd favourite. On Saturday last, Nelson produced two classic riding moments which will be forever etched in the memories of those privileged to witness them live and those who saw those moments on television. The Complete Racing Guide relives the triumphs of Dane Nelson on Saturday, September 21.

After going miles wide when negotiating the bend for home, jockey Dane Nelson kept his mount Mr Traditionalist goingalthough the horse chose to run as close as possible to thestand rails. This was winner number one on the day for Nelson, who rode a fine triple.
