Chilando ‘Nah Beg nuh Ratings’
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Singjay Chilando has been making the studio rounds since his mid-teens. And though the big hit has not yet materialised, he believes his patience will pay off soon.
That persistence plays out on Nah Beg Nuh Ratings, his current song on which he vows not to compromise his standards.
Produced by Good Good Productions, Nah Beg Nuh Ratings is the follow-up to Gwaan Gal, which was released in April.
“The key thing is to keep busy. Wi have some good tune on the road an’ wi a try push them as best wi can,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
Some of those ‘good tune’ include the self-produced, recently released Gal Dem Mi Wah and All Dem a Talk which were done for Chilando’s Show Di Vybz Records.
Chilando Spencer is from Montego Bay, and though he is only 24 years old, has been recording since he was in the eighth grade at William Knibb Memorial High School in neighbouring Trelawny.
He says Gwaan Gal, produced by Andre Solid out of the United Kingdom, did well for him. He expects Nah Beg Nuh Ratings — which is complemented by a video — to do even better.
“I picking up a good vibe from this song an’ with the video to be out soon, it will do well,” he said.
