Angels blank Infinity 3-0 in TT club league

IN a match of two newcomers to the Jamaica Table Tennis Association National Club League, Angels Academy of Spanish Town blanked Kingston-based Infinity Club 3-0 in a women’s contest, as the League served off Thursday.

Angels were represented by three national junior representatives and in individual results, Dadrian Lewis overpowered Nardia Willie 11-5, 11-4, 11-5 (3-0) and Kelice Sinclair eased past Kerrian Smith 13-11, 11-8, 11-2 (3-0) in singles matches.

In doubles, Sinclair and Larissa McLaughlin cruised past sisters Nardia Willie and Jae-Ann Willie 11-4, 11-4, 11-1 (3-0) to complete the 3-0 victory for Angels.

The League was due to continue this afternoon with newcomers Mandeville-based Super Plus Food Store hosting the University of the West Indies (UWI) in a Division Three duel at Church Teachers College at 5:00 pm.
