Forbes in Worlds long jump final
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Damar Forbes Wednesday morning (Jamaica time) qualified for the long jump final at the World Championship in Moscow, Russia with a leap of 7.96 metres.
Forbes’ jump tied with Jinzhe Li of China as the seventh longest into the final of 12 jumpers.
Euseibo Caceres of Spain registered the longest distance of 8.25 metres followed by South Africa’s Godfrey Mokoena (8.16) and Aleksandr Menkov of Russia (8.11).
The long jump final is scheduled for Friday, Day 7 at 10:30am (Jamaica time).
