Jamaica’s 400m trio Johnson, Bell and Francis through to semis
KINGSTON, Jamaica — LaShawn Merritt (44.92) clocked the fastest time in the 400m heats on Day 2 of the World Championships in Moscow but his major threat Kirani James strolled an easy 45.00 to qualify for the semi finals.
Jamaica’s trio of Javier Bell (45.20) Omar Johnson (45.97) and Javon Francis (45.37) also progressed to the semi-finals scheduled for 11.05am Sunday Jamaica time.
