Injury-hit Riley, Parchment advance to sprint hurdles semis

MOSCOW, Russia — Andrew Riley and Hansle Parchment two of Jamaica’s injury hit sprint hurdling corps have advanced to Monday’s semi-finals of the men’s 110m hurdles.
Riley who is suffering from an Achilles tendon injury was third in his heat in 13.27 seconds and advanced automatically while Parchment who was fifth in his race in 13.47 seconds advanced as one of the fastest losers.
Earlier this morning, Dwight Thomas withdrew from the championships citing a recurring knee injury.
