Thomas, Riley set to join camp today
THE 2013 Moscow IAAF World Athletics Championships is less than four days away and all but two of the country’s athletes have already settled in the Russian capital.
Sprint hurdlers Dwight Thomas — and Andrew Riley are scheduled to arrive today. National 100m champion Kerron Stewart was the latest to arrive yesterday.
Dennis Gordon, the team’s media liaison officer, told the Jamaica Observer last evening. “The team has settled in well. We trained this morning and again in the evening.”
Meanwhile, Jamaican athletes are enjoying the cool weather of Moscow, as last night’s temperature was 25 degrees Celsius.
According to the weather forecast, today will be partly cloudy early, to be followed by mostly cloudy skies and a few showers later in the day. There will be a high temperature of around 23 degrees Celsius. Winds will be light and variable, with a 30 per cent chance of rain.
