Not too ghoulish, Gaga? Singer eats fake blood off woman’s naked body
A woman who wore a meat dress was never going to be massively fazed by even the most ghoulish piece of performance art.
But still, there was an incredible nonchalance about Lady Gaga as she scooped fake blood sauce from a woman’s naked body at the 20th annual benefit for the Watermill Centre.
Gaga arrived with performance artist Marina Abramovic and the centre’s director Robert Wilson then mingled with stars like Hugh Jackman and Winona Ryder.
The 27-year-old then caused even more of a commotion by bidding $60,000 to buy an Abramovic work, a wall-mounted quartz brick.
Diane von Furstenberg bid $100,000 for a video portrait to be done by Wilson.
After the dinner and auction, hosted by Alan Cumming, guests danced with several women wearing nothing but body paint
Gaga then spotted the woman covered in blood, an onlooker told the NY Post: ‘There was a casket with a totally naked woman lying in what looked like a pool of blood.’
‘On a table nearby there was a row of little spoons – no one had touched them, because no one knew what they were for. [Wilson] gave two spoons to Gaga and Marina . . . and Gaga dipped the spoon right between the artist’s legs, and took a sip.’

From girl next door to Louis Vuitton model: Michelle Williams’ first fashion campaign
Michelle Williams smoulders in Louis Vuitton’s autumn/winter 2014 campaign, but it took an army of hair-stylists, make-up artists and photography assistants to capture the perfect picture.
With wine-coloured lips and dark eyebrows, the actress models two of the French fashion house’s latest handbags, the W and the Capucines, while taking direction from famed Vogue photographer Peter Lindbergh.
In a behind-the-scenes video released by Louis Vuitton, the 32-year-old is seen getting into character for her model moment: pouting, smiling, posing seriously and bursting into giggles, as the company’s large creative team looks on.
‘It’s like falling in love, I fall in love with characters like falling in love in life,’ said Ms Williams during the shoot.
‘I don’t try and mastermind it, I hope to try and stay very present and open to what is moving me in the moment. And generally that tends to be something that’s challenging. If it’s not challenging, then why do it?’ she added.
The campaign marks Ms Williams’ first major fashion endorsement, aside from a brief spell as an ambassador for Band of Outsiders for spring/summer 2012.

‘Cory will forever be in my heart:’ Lea Michele thanks fans for their support
She’s not been seen publicly since the tragic death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith.
But grieving Lea Michele took to her Twitter page for the first time on Monday to thank her fans for their support.
‘Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support,’ she tweeted.
And she added simply: ‘Cory will forever be in my heart.’
Lea shared a photo of the pair from her private collection.
A light-hearted selfie, it shows the two cuddling, as they grin at the camera from behind their sunglasses in front of the ocean.
While Lea is not yet ready to face the public, the actress has been seeking solace in her grief from her fellow Glee cast.
The actress joined them for a memorial service last week ‘to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory’, according to a statement.
The actor was found dead aged 31 from a heroin and alcohol overdose while on a visit to his hometown of Vancouver, Canada.
He and Lea had been dating for more than a year and were said to be inseparable.
