TOP seeds Dimitri Bird and Andrew Bicknell will face each other in the Boys’ 18 and under singles final after winning their semi-finals at the 2013 Blue Mountain Caribbean Junior Tennis Championships yesterday at the Eric Bell Tennis Centre.

Today’s finals which begin at 9:00 am are as follows: Boys’ 12 and under, Boys’ 14 and under, Girls’ 14 and under, Boys’ 16 and under, Girls’ 16 and under, Boys’ 18 and under and Girls’ 18 and under.

Meanwhile, Bird, the top seed in the Boys’ 18 and under singles defeated Blaise Bicknell in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, while second-seeded Bicknell outlasted Jacob Bicknell also in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3 in semi-final action yesterday.

Bicknell, who earlier this month captured the All-Jamaica Boys singles title, is expected to have a tough challenge against Bird.

Meanwhile, the Girls’ 18 and under singles final will be contested between top seed Michealann Denton and second seed Shelitta Haughton.
