Rovers, Seaview for D1 final
ROSE HALL, St James — Lilliput Rovers and Seaview FC will contest the St James Football Association Weston King/Dennis Barton Division One finals after contrasting wins in the return-leg semi-finals on Monday.
Lilliput Rovers survived a furious comeback from Marl Road to win their tie 4-3 on aggregate at the Wyndham field after the teams ended 3-3 on aggregate over both legs, while Seaview played out a 0-0 draw for a 1-0 aggregate win over Mountain Villa in the other tie at Flankers.
Trailing by two goals after losing the first game 1-3, Jerome Tulloch scored twice for Marl Road, netting in the 19th and 65th minutes to tie up the scores and force extra time.
The extra 30 minutes failed to provide a winner and Lilliput won 4-3 in the shoot-out.
Seaview had won the first game 1-0 last week, and Monday’s goalless draw saw them join Lilliput in the finals and automatic promotion to the Senior League next season.
