Rejoicing in Mighty’s Temple of Praise
IT took gospel singer Jason Mighty five years to release his new album, Temple of Praise. Hundreds of fans and colleagues turned out last Friday night at New Life Assembly of God church in St Andrew for its launch.
Temple of Praise contains 12 songs, several of which are produced by Danny Browne and Fabian Dobney. It is Mighty’s second album, his first being Cornerstone in 2008.
The 32-year-old Mighty is originally from Linstead, St Catherine but resides in Mississauga, Canada.
He was joined on stage by fellow gospel artistes including singer J-Cee and DJ Nicholas.
With his Holy Ghost Gym in tow, DJ Nicholas rocked the crowd from the moment he touched the stage. Kevin Downswell, who had a big hit last year with You Make Me Stronger, gave a passionate ministry.
Kevin Smith, Dunamis, Tammieshe, One Voice, Andrene Lewis and Prodigal Son also did brief performances.
